Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage is perfect for people with pain whether it is chronic or if you just slept wrong on your neck or shoulder. Using precision muscular therapy techniques to work and focus on the problem area(s) will help you feel better in no time! My favorite and most common areas I treat are conditions such as, but not limited to sciatica, limited range of motion in the joints and trigger points (knots) around the scapula (shoulder blade). Adding CBD to this session is great for inflammation.

Prenatal

Pregnancy massage has many benefits. It can help manage the stress, fatigue, pain, and other challenges that come with the changes that are happening to your body; as you prepare to bring a new life into this world. Low back and hip pain are the most common as your body makes room for the baby. Prenatal massage can be both relaxing and therapeutic, depending on what your goals are at the time of your appointment.

Water
Lymphatic

Lymphatic drainage massage encourages the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the soft tissues. It relieves swelling that happens after you have an illness or surgery that blocks your lymphatic system. Many clients receive this type of massage after undergoing a surgical operation, or because they have excess edema throughout their body. The edema (swelling) forms directly under the skin. Therefore the pressure used is feather-light in order to get the edema to flow back into the lymph nodes, so your body can dispose of the waste. Drink plenty of water before and after your appointment. Please email or call if you have any questions. This service is offered in ONLY 60 minute and 2-hour sessions. A full body lymphatic massage will take 2 hours. Whereas if you are coming in for a specific area of the body 60 minutes should be sufficient. Results will not be immediate.

Cupping

Cupping therapy- is an ancient form of alternative medicine. It is used to draw out inflammation from deep within the soft tissues of the body. It also helps increase blood flow, helps with soft tissue pain, increases relaxation, and breaks up scar tissue. Cupping therapy may leave a mark on the skin that can last up to a month, however, these marks are not bruises. The mark that is left is caused by the toxins and inflammation being drawn to the surface of the body. The mark is not identified as a bruise because a bruise is created by broken capillaries and is generally painful to the touch. When cupping is done properly capillaries should not be broken and the marks will not be tender.

Contraindications (Cupping therapy is not for you if you have any of the following)

Hot Stone

Hot stone massage is used to help ease tense muscles and damages soft tissues throughout the body. Smooth flat heated stones are used to help warm the soft tissues of the body and assist in getting to the deeper soft tissues of the body more quickly with less pressure. Adding hot stones to a relaxation massage or therapeutic massage is beneficial. While the heat is extremely relaxing and helps to relieve stress and anxiety, it also helps to relieve muscle tension.

CBD

Happy Buddha Hemp is based out of Colorado. The land that this hemp is harvested on has been pesticide-free for over 50 years. All of the secondary ingredients are sourced from like-minded companies making their products paraben-free, sulfate-free, and free of harsh chemicals. CBD is a great add-on for those who have inflammation brought on by rheumatoid arthritis, tendonitis, and general inflammation around the joints and in the soft tissues. After doing research and trying many types of CBD for aches and pains, I found that this topical was most effective for me as well as my clients.

Ear Candling

Ear candling dates back to 2500 BC in ancient Egypt. Benefits are that it relieves pressure behind the eardrum, eases earache, headache, and sinus pressure, and can assist with allergy symptoms, as well as, acts as a catalyst to clear nerve endings and promote healing. Some clients get this done every 5- 10 weeks to help with the feeling of plugged ears, while others receive ear candling each time the seasons change to help manage their allergies.
